Not everyone needs a dressmaker's tape measure longer than the standard 60 inch type available from most retail sewing departments—but we surely did. We have no idea why longer tapes are so hard to find, but happily, we located this good-quality 96 inch / 244 cm heavy-duty cloth/vinyl tape measure. (One side reads in inches and the reverse side in centimeters.)
